Rabies Antibody (Rabies Ab) Test Kit

Rabies Virus Antibody (Rabies Ab) Test Kit can quickly and qualitatively detect rabies virus antibodies in dog serum, and is used for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of rabies virus infection.

【Principle】

Rabies is an acute infectious disease caused by the rabies virus. It is common to carnivores such as dogs, wolves, and cats. Most people are infected by the bite of the infected animal. The clinical manifestations were hydrophobia, fear of wind, pharyngeal spasm, progressive paralysis and so on. The rabies virus is spread when animals bite each other.

This kit uses double antibody sandwich immunochromatography. If the sample contains sufficient amounts of rabies virus antibodies, the rabies virus antibodies will bind to the colloidal gold coated antigen on the gold label pad to form an antigen-antibody complex. When this complex migrates upward to the detection area (T-line) with the capillary effect, it binds to another antigen to form an "antigen-antibody-antigen" complex and gradually agglutinates into a visible detection line (T-line), and excess colloidal gold antigen continues to migrate to the quality control area (C-line) to be captured by monoclonal antibody and form a visible C-line. The test results are displayed on the C and T lines. The red band displayed by the quality control line (C line) is the standard to determine whether the chromatographic process is normal, and also serves as the internal control standard of the product.

【Storage and expiration date】

The kit is stored at 2-30℃. Do not freeze. Valid for 24 months; After the kit is opened, the reagent should be used as soon as possible.

【Sample requirement】

1. Test sample: dog (cat) serum.

2. The sample should be tested on the same day; the sample that cannot be detected on the day shall be stored at 2-8 ℃, and if it exceeds 24 hours, it should be stored at -20℃.

【Inspection method】

1.  Before use, restore the kit to room temperature (15-30℃).

2.  Remove the reagent card from the aluminum foil bag and place it on a clean platform.

3.  Unscrew the top tube cap on the diluent tube cap containing the sample, invert the diluent tube, squeeze the tube wall, and add 3-5 drops of specimen mixture into the sample hole (S hole) of the reagent card.

4.  The results can be read in 10-15 minutes.  The result is invalid after 15 minutes.

【Result interpretation】

Positive: Quality Control Line (C Line) and Test Line (T line) appear

Negative: only quality control line (C line) appears

Invalid: Quality control line does not appear, take a new reagent card to re-test

【Precautions】   

1. This product is only used for qualitative testing, only the matching diluent provided in the package can be used, and different batches of diluent can not be mixed.

2. Test results of this product are for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis and treatment, but should be made by a physician after evaluating all clinical and laboratory evidence.

3. The operation should be carried out in strict accordance with the instructions. Do not use expired or damaged products.

4. The test card should be used within 1 hour after opening; If the ambient temperature is higher than 30 ℃ or more humid, it should be used immediately.

5. If the T line has just begun to show color, and then the line color gradually fades or even disappears, in this case, the sample should be diluted several times and tested until the T line color is stable.

6. This product is a disposable product. Do not reuse it.
